The Breitling Premier Heritage collection that I present to you today, in addition to including some of the watches that I consider the most beautiful among those seen in 2021 to date, pays tribute to the pioneers of the brand: three generations of men who have changed the history of timekeeping and by Breitling itself. The first, Léon Breitling, founded the company in 1884. He later patented a simple timer / speedometer capable of measuring any speed between 15 and 150 km / h. In 1915, his son Gaston created one of the first wrist chronographs with an independent push-button at 2 o’clock. This innovation allowed the start, stop and reset functions to be separated from the crown, making sports timekeeping infinitely more practical. Finally, in 1934, Willy, Léon’s grandson, patented the second independent chronograph push button at 4 o’clock. Willy Breitling also realized that people wanted to flaunt a touch of charm and elegance and contributed to the birth, in the 1940s. , Premier wristwatches. The latest generation of Premier, replica Breitling‘s Premier Heritage collection, is precisely the one I am presenting to you today; there are six replica watches divided into three categories: Chronograph, Duograph and Datora. All with Arabic numerals, vintage-inspired hands and semi-polished crocodile leather straps with tone-on-tone stitching. Each watch is a COSC certified chronometer and water resistant to 100 meters. Let’s see them in more detail.
The Premier Heritage Chronograph is equipped with a manual winding, just like its predecessors from the 1940s. It is powered by the Breitling Manufacture Caliber B09, inspired by the Breitling Manufacture Caliber 01, with approximately 70 hours of power reserve and is available in two versions: with an eye-catching pistachio green dial encased in a stainless steel case, or with a sophisticated Silver dial enclosed in an 18K red gold case. The case is 40 mm (excellent size even for those with thin wrists).
The Premier Heritage Duograph comes in a version with a blue dial and stainless steel case or with a black dial and 18-karat red gold case, both 42 mm in diameter. Its rattrapante function allows the wearer to measure two time intervals simultaneously, thanks to the two superimposed chronograph hands. Inside, the hand-wound Breitling Manufacture Caliber B15, inspired by the Breitling Manufacture Caliber B03, with approximately 70 hours of power reserve.
Finally, like its 1940s predecessor, the 42 mm Premier Heritage Datora also stands out for its visible and complex functions, in particular the day, date and moon phase displays. It is powered by the Breitling In-house Caliber B25, with approximately 48 hours of power reserve. The copper-colored dial of the Datora is framed by a stainless steel case, while the silver one is crafted in 18-karat red gold. In short, a watch that is more beautiful than the other, which I can’t wait to see live and try them on to see their proportions and portability!
