It is exactly 60 years (the first James Bond film “Agent 007 – License to Kill” dates back to 1962) that the secret agent with the most charm in the world shows us all the colors thanks to his incredible gadgets.
In his latest adventure, the volcanic Mr Q gives 007 an electromagnetic pulse watch, but the brilliant and somewhat odd inventor cannot confirm the effectiveness of the device until Bond uses it.
Fortunately, that watch, an Omega Seamaster Diver 300M 007 Edition “No Time To Die”, proves incredibly useful when 007 collides with Primo (Dali Benssalah). Holding it on the head of his opponent Craig activates the EMP which appears to explode the opponent’s eye, killing him instantly.
Ok, now let’s get back to reality.
That exact Seamaster worn by Bond in the film will be put on sale by Christe’s next September and will be part of an auction that pays homage to 60 years of Agent 007, which for the occasion will see 60 lots of memorabilia of each genre: cars, costumes and gadgets used on the scene including this replica Omega.
However it will go it is a good initiative as the proceeds from the sales will go to charity.
Regarding this watch it is one of my favorite 007 high quality replica watches uk. I tried it for a long time and reviewed it here.
Starting with the choice of materials – it is Bond’s first watch in titanium – this model quite distances itself from the previous eleven watches that Omega has made for the secret agent.
The Seamaster Diver 300M 007 Edition “No Time To Die” looks more like a military watch than a diving watch. Being an object of “property” of Her Majesty the Queen of England and therefore assigned, with a powder coated dial similar to the so-called “tropical”, it shows the magnificent Broad Arrow at 6 o’clock.
Could Bond’s latest watch have a banal movement? No sir, the caliber 8806 that moves it is currently the most advanced Omega three-hand automatic movement even if not visible due to the presence of a solid caseback. Too bad because it is also decorated with care.
To regulate the frequency we think of the usual Co-Axial escapement and a spiral spring of the silicon balance wheel for greater smoothness and protection against magnetic fields – not those emanating from this precise watch – which has no equal.
In the past, James Bond watches have achieved considerable numbers and so I think that will be why Omega compared to Christie’s estimate of 18,500- $ 24,500.
I believe it will explode. What figure do you think it can reach?
If you wish, or simply want to experience the thrill of owning the latest James Bond watch, you can register for the auction and place your bid online at the appropriate time next 22 September.
